Saif Ali Khan married Amrita Singh, an actress 12 years older than him, in October 1991. The relationship between Amrita and Saif’s parents didn’t work out well. Saif Ali Khan, known as Junior Pataudi, was born on August 16, 1970, in New Delhi. His father, Mansoor Ali Khan, was the Nawab of Pataudi and captain of the Indian cricket team, and his mother, Sharmila Tagore, was an actress. Saif has two sisters, Saba Ali Khan, a fashion designer, and Soha Ali Khan, a Bollywood actress.

Under the mentorship of Yash Chopra and Umesh Mehra, Saif Ali Khan started his acting career. His first film, Parampara (1993), was a big flop, but after that, Saif delivered two consecutive blockbuster hits Yeh Dillagi and Main Khiladi Tu Anari. Both of these films earned him a lot of praise and fame, and for the latter one, he got his first nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Filmfare Awards.

Being successful with Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Saif appeared in many movies like Aao Pyaar Karen (1994), Yaar Gaddar (1994), Ek Tha Raja (1996), Bambai Ka Babu (1996), Dil Tera Diwana (1996), Tu Chor Main Sipahi (1996), Hameshaa (1997), and Keemat: They Are Back (1998).
